What shockwave therapy is
RPW (Radial Pressure Wave) Shockwave Therapy is an excellent non-invasive treatment that promotes the rapid healing of injured tissue, bone, heel and joints. Pressure waves are applied to the affected area to reduce pain and enhance circulation, accelerating the body's natural recovery. Patients regain mobility with very few side effects. Windsor Physiotherapy is one of the few clinics in the Annapolis Valley to offer it.

What to expect
Treatments are short, usually a few minutes on the affected area as part of a physiotherapy visit, and most conditions respond within three to five sessions spaced about a week apart. Your physiotherapist will assess whether shockwave is appropriate for you and combine it with exercise and manual therapy for the best result.
